Our story, our purpose and the values that guide us.
Born from a wish to serve, on 14 October 2020.
Gyan Jyoti Foundation Trust was formed on 14 October 2020 in Delhi, at a time when the pandemic had laid bare how fragile life is for millions of families.
We saw daily wage earners without food, elderly people without care, children cut off from school and patients unable to reach a doctor. A group of like-minded people came together with a simple resolve — to do whatever we could, wherever we could.
What began as small relief drives has grown into seven focused programs. Our name reflects our purpose: Gyan (knowledge) and Jyoti (light). We believe that knowledge, care and compassion can light up even the darkest circumstances.
Our Mission
To serve the poor, the sick, the elderly, the visually impaired and children in need through healthcare, food security, education and compassionate care — with honesty, dignity and respect.
Our Vision
A society in which no one sleeps hungry, no illness goes untreated for want of money, no elder is left alone and every child has the light of education.
