Ration Distribution
For a daily wage earner, one week without work can mean an empty kitchen. Our ration distribution programme provides carefully assembled dry-ration kits to families who are struggling to put food on the table.
Each kit is planned to feed a family for several weeks and contains staples such as wheat flour, rice, pulses, cooking oil, salt and spices. We give priority to widows, the elderly, persons with disabilities and families who have lost their source of income.
Beneficiaries are identified through local surveys and verification, so that support reaches the households who need it most. During emergencies, we scale up distribution quickly.
